Athletic Annex Carmel is proud to present a free, dynamic 4-part series built to support every part of your running and walking journey. This is not just about logging miles - it is about becoming a stronger, smarter, and more resilient runner or walker while having some fun with the community along the way.
Each session pairs a relaxed run or walk with an expert-led talk and Q & A, covering topics that actually matter: injury prevention, strength and rehab, cross-training, proper fueling, and the extra testing and resources that can help you level up your training. We are bringing in experienced local experts to share practical takeaways you can use right away.
Whether you are training for a goal race, getting back into a routine, or simply looking to learn more and connect with other people in the local running community, this series is built to meet you where you are.

The first session in the series focuses on one of the most important questions runners face: how do you stay durable enough to keep training? This evening is built around injury prevention, foundational strength, and smarter rehab thinking - all through the lens of performance and consistency.
Attendees will start at Athletic Annex Carmel before heading over to St. Vincent’s Sports Performance for a brief tour, guided pre-run mobility, a short community run or walk, and a practical presentation designed to help runners better understand what keeps them healthy over time.

Session 2 - Cross-Training for Success

Session Flow: 6:00 PM Orangetheory Fitness led pre-run stretches • 6:10 PM 30 - 45 minute run or walk from Athletic Annex • 7:00 PM 20-minute presentation and Q & A
Running does not happen in a vacuum. Smart cross-training can improve strength, resilience, movement quality, and long-term consistency - especially for runners trying to balance performance goals with injury prevention.
This session explores how thoughtful strength work and cross-training can support better running outcomes. Expect a short run or walk, guided warm-up support from Orangetheory Fitness, and a practical conversation around how runners can use additional training inputs without overcomplicating the process.
About Tyler Lymburner
Tyler Lymburner is a Doctor of Chiropractic and strength coach with over 14 years of experience in fitness, performance, and injury prevention. He has coached more than 5,000 group fitness classes, designed over 2,000 personalized training programs, and created more than 1,000 nutrition programs. As a coach at Orangetheory Fitness, he specializes in helping runners and active adults build strength, prevent injuries, and improve performance so they can stay active for life.

Training well is only part of the equation. Fueling, recovery, and day-to-day nutrition habits play a major role in how runners feel, adapt, and perform.
This session will focus on proper fueling and nutrition with an emphasis on practical application for real runners. The evening pairs a community run or walk with an expert conversation around how athletes and active individuals can think more clearly about energy, recovery, and performance support.
About Lindsay Langford
Lindsay Langford is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) at Ascension St. Vincent Sports Performance (ASVSP) in Indianapolis, IN. She received her Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics from University of Alabama and Masters degree from Louisiana Tech University.
Through her 18 years at ASVSP, she has served as the team dietitian for the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, US Soccer Womens National Team and more. She currently works with all athletes and active individuals within Indianapolis, along with serving as team dietitian for Marian University and Cincinnati Bengals. Lindsay loves traveling with her family, running, and almost anything in the great outdoors.

The final session in the series is built for runners who want to better understand the tools, testing, and performance resources available beyond everyday training. This evening will explore how additional data and targeted testing can support smarter decision-making for health, longevity, and athletic progress.
Expect a community run or walk, an educational presentation, and a closing social component as the series wraps up. Topics include DEXA scans, sweat tests, VO2 max testing, and other advanced performance tools that help athletes better understand their bodies and training response.
About Jeremy Wilson
Jeremy Wilson is the Owner and Lab Director of VQ Labs, a full-service human performance facility specializing in advanced metabolic testing and personalized fitness coaching. A graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, Jeremy blends scientific expertise with a passion for helping people improve their health, longevity, and athletic performance.
Under his leadership, VQ Labs provides cutting-edge services including DEXA body composition scans, VO₂ Max testing, Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) testing, Sweat/Sodium testing, Blood Lactate testing, and precision nutrition coaching for both elite athletes and everyday individuals.
Jeremy is also a certified PowerWatts™ cycling coach and competitive cyclist racing with the Texas Roadhouse Cycling Team. Outside the lab, he enjoys riding bikes, hiking, and pursuing new ways to optimize human performance. Jeremy lives in the Indianapolis area with his beautiful wife Angie and their three children.
