The Brooks Glycerin Flex is built for runners who want to drive their run rather than be carried through it. Designed with innovative flexibility from midfoot to toe-off, this shoe blends plush cushioning with a naturally adaptive feel that moves with your stride instead of guiding it.

A reimagined flexible platform allows the foot to bend and load efficiently through transition, while the engineered flat knit upper delivers a comfortable, breathable fit that feels sleek without sacrificing support. Whether you’re logging daily miles or settling into longer efforts, the Glycerin Flex offers a smooth, confident ride for runners who value freedom of movement paired with premium cushioning.

Foam Technology

DNA TUNED is Brooks’ next-generation nitrogen-infused midsole foam, engineered using a dual-cell structure for a finely tuned ride. Larger cells in the heel create plush, shock-absorbing landings, while smaller cells in the forefoot deliver a more responsive, energetic toe-off. By reducing excess layers and complexity, DNA TUNED provides a seamless balance of softness and responsiveness, positioning the Glycerin Flex as a high-cushion daily trainer that still feels flexible, modern, and efficient underfoot.

Comfort & Fit Notes

The Glycerin Flex has a true-to-size, neutral fit with a comfortably secure midfoot and a slightly accommodating forefoot that allows natural foot movement. The engineered flat knit upper feels soft and flexible without being loose, adapting well through toe-off while maintaining structure through the midfoot. Overall, the fit feels sleek and performance-oriented, but forgiving enough for longer runs and all-day wear without pressure points.

This Shoe Is Perfect For

A cushioned, flexible road shoe for runners and walkers who want a smooth, natural ride that moves with the foot rather than guiding it.

Injury Considerations

The Glycerin Flex feels soft and accommodating underfoot while remaining sleek and flexible through transition. DNA TUNED cushioning provides plush landings without a marshmallow feel, and the flexible midfoot and forefoot allow the shoe to bend naturally with your stride. The engineered flat knit upper offers a secure, breathable fit that adapts well to foot movement, making this a comfortable option for longer runs, daily mileage, and all-day wear.

How This Shoe Compares

Compared to Asics Nimbus

The Nimbus prioritizes plush cushioning with a more structured, traditional ride. The Glycerin Flex feels more flexible and adaptive, allowing the foot to move more freely through toe-off while still delivering premium cushioning.

Compared to Nike Vomero

The Vomero delivers a plush, protective ride with a more traditional feel and noticeable structure through the midsole. The Glycerin Flex offers a similarly premium cushioning experience, but with greater flexibility and a more natural, foot-driven transition, making it feel smoother and less rigid through toe-off.
