Saucony Ride 7 Shoe Review ($120)

Where to begin? Over the past few years Saucony has emerged to be one of the best running specialty brands in the country and with this shoe it is easy to see why. It’s predecessor, the Ride 6, was a good shoe and a big step in the right direction for Saucony, but this version could take them to a whole new level. With their POWERGRID midsole, which offers ample cushioning for the average runner while maintaining a lightweight feel, they have laid the foundation for something special. With design features like a 8mm heel-to-toe offset, a wider midfoot, and a deeper toe box, Saucony has created something unique that both the average runner or walker can enjoy as well as the elite runner who wants something lightweight and responsive. This shoe evokes a desire to go running simply by putting it on. We recommend this shoe for a neutral runner who prefers a modest amount of cushion and a lightweight feel. Orthotic wearers may like this shoe as well due to the width of the midfoot.
